We had an excellent experience with Broome & Beyond for our two-week trip down the coast from Broome to Perth. We hired the Trayon camper, and it was perfect—very well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. And then the service provided during the trip was amazing. We only had a couple of minor issues, and they were always available immediately, and proactively did whatever they could to resolve them. The actual campers themselves were exceptional and performed brilliantly. We had the Trayon style and it was absolutely brilliant for 2 people allowing quick and east setup for the many moves we made. Hi highly recommend Broome and Beyond.

Two week loop, Broome to Kununurra via the Gibb and back to Broome via the highway taking in Bungle Bungle and Mimbi. A few campgrounds only just opened due to late rains, vehicle was perfect, handled everything without skipping a beat. Service was seamless. Thoroughly recommend.

We chose Broome & Beyond for our month-long trip through Western Australia because we had only heard positive reports about it. And we were not disappointed. Booking online was straightforward and communication was excellent. On site, Brendan introduced us to the vehicle. Everything had been thought of for a trip into the outback, right down to the satellite emergency call. The electric air pump was very useful, helping us to adjust the tyre pressure for the different terrain conditions. The radio for communicating with the road trains and construction sites was also very practical. The vehicle itself was in excellent condition. During the trip, it was confirmed time and again that the Trayon was the perfect choice. It was possible to drive to any location and spend the night wherever we wanted. Within a few minutes, the camper was ready for us to spend the night. The little extras such as lamps, stools etc. were also included. When shopping, it was practical to have the fridge within easy reach so that you could store your purchases directly in the supermarket car park. Despite the mobile phone navigation, the maps provided were worth their weight in gold, especially for trips to remote areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will be using Broome & Beyond again on our next trip to Australia. We never had a breakdown or malfunction during the entire trip and the large fuel tank made us feel safe. By the way, the return of the vehicle was just as uncomplicated as the handover. I was really impressed with Broome and Beyond and the camper we hired. It was well set up, in great condition and had everything we needed. I usually drive my own vehicle and camp around the country but I’ll definitely use these guys again for short trips in the Kimberley and top end.

We hired a Toyota Hilux with a Trayon from Broome and beyond for 3 weeks in May. We had a great trip traveling from Broome to Darwin via the Gibb River Road. A real 4WD adventure! The combined car and camper was perfect - taking us everywhere we wanted to go. We felt well equipped and comfortable, and Brendan and Tracey were super helpful.

We spent six weeks traveling from Perth to Darwin in a brand-new Toyota Hilux Trayon. The car was perfect for this trip. We had plenty of space, and the amenities were exactly right for our needs. The service was very good and quick whenever we had a question. If we ever come back to Western Australia, we will definitely rent a car from this company again. Highly recommend these guys! They have you sorted from the get go! Great communication and everything you need + more with the camper. Our 4x4 Dualcab pop up camper had plenty of space for the 3 adults, and was very comfortable for the long drives down the coast. Car was in great condition, and of course the customer service is gold standard. Not usually the camper type, but would definitely do this again! Thanks guys for a great experience!

Don was super helpful in planning our long road trip, with his local knowledge, and provided us with an ideal vehicle for that role- a Toyota Hilux, battery big enough for the fridge, much larger fuel tank for the long distances required, plenty of power to tow the campervan and pass the long road trains, and doors to the rear storage lifting up on each side for easy access to the equipment and food. Booking was straightforward, and the lady preparing the vehicle and necessary connections to the campervan for departure super friendly and helpful.

Great service, top 4WD! Wij raden iedereen aan die in West- en Noord- Australië nood heeft aan een 4WD met rooftoptent, keuken, douche en zonnepaneel op bij Brendan & Tracey te huren. We hebben een maand rond getoerd zonder problemen, ook in de outback. Communicatie was heel goed. De tent is groot, je hebt genoeg plaats aan de keuken, je kan de gaskookplaat ook gemakkelijk buiten koppelen, de ijskast is heel ruim, de wc is gemakkelijk en kan je goed wegbergen. De tent is op 5 min opgesteld en op minder dan 10 terug ingeklapt. Er is voldoende plaats om je kleren en ander gerief op te bergen. Er is voldoende keukengerei en gereedschap, stoelen, tafel…. En als je iets extra nodig hebt… just ask Brendan. Wij komen terug en huren dan zeker weten hier weer onze jeep.

Went to look at the campers as doing the Gibb River road next year. Lovely helpful staff with great vehicles with everything you need for a trip on the Gibb. We have since booked and excited looking forward to next year. I will say it's very expensive but it's what you have to pay if you want to do it. We did get a discount think cos it's 21 days.

We had an amazing time doing Darwin to Broome and back - explored the Gibb River Road, great northern highway, even did the Bungle Bungle Range and Victoria Highway. They offer the best pricing in Darwin and options for 4WD camper hire. We were novice 4wd driver and we wanted something convenient, fun and still comfortable. We took the dual cab with Trayon for 2 adults and a 5yo trip. It came with everything we need from linens, towels to everyday utensils and more 4wd equipments to switch the tire pressures for different road conditions. We only had to pack our clothes and get groceries to stock up. It’s got large capacity for fuel to go for 800km and 1 week worth of water and the solar panels kept us going. We were almost self contained (missing toilet) - just need to either stay on caravan parks or freedom camps with toilet facilities. John, Tracey and Brendan were responsive on email, phone and text messages. The whole process from booking, collection to vehicle return was so easy that made our adventure holiday so enjoyable without additional stress. We even got to swap out towels and lighter at Broome. Highly recommend these guys. And will definitely return for more adventure with them. Thanks for giving us great memories to take home.

Amazing 4WD car company The car is fitted out with everything you possibly can imagine, the staff are super friendly and helpful they give you a massive and amazing rundown of the car when picking up it’s amazing, I used them twice and would use this company again for sure. Just finished a 3 week road trip and wish it lasted longer comfortable beds, has literally everything you need, everything is super clean when pick up the car Just no word but the simply the best :)

We rented the 4x4 Toyota Hilux with a rooftop tent in March, and it was absolutely perfect for our family of two adults and two children. There’s a comfortable double bed for the parents, and each child has their own bed as well. The storage space was much larger than expected! With the built-in fridge and clever storage setup, we were able to travel completely self-sufficient for about 10 days without needing a powered campsite. The fridge runs on solar panels, and we could easily charge all our electronic devices. The equipment is very well thought out and perfectly organized. A real highlight is the included air compressor for inflating the tires — something most other rental companies don’t provide! Having your own compressor means you can explore off-road areas independently, without relying on compressor stations in the parks. The staff were extremely friendly, and we could even leave our suitcases at the rental station during our trip. Highly recommended!

Passte alles! Eine ausführliche Einweisung in den Trayon inclusive Auf und Abbau, der Hilux in super gepflegtem Zustand. Viele pragmatisch wichtige Details (unter anderem 2 Kopflampen incl. Ersatzbatterien, erste Hilfe Kit, Walkie Talkie mit Fernfahrerkanal zur Abstimmung mit Road Trains, Leine mit Klammern, Ventilator, ... ). Brendan war immer erreichbar per WhatsApp. Wir sind 8500 km ohne irgendein technisches Problem in WA unterwegs gewesen. Für uns wäre Broome&Beyond immer die erste Wahl!

We hired the 2 person Hilux and camper and did the Gibb River Rd to Purnalulu and back. Everything was very comfortable and capable and Broome and Beyond provided great support throughout. Everyting on the Gibb was phenomenal too!

Very happy with the well equipped vehicle and associated camping gear they have provided. All worked according to plan on our Gibb River Rd adventure (Broom to Darwin). Great pre-hire briefing as we picked up the vehicle. The daunting task of setting up the Trayon camper was much easier then expected. Staff was friendly and we had good communication before and after our trip. Insurance excess refund was promptly processed after we returned the vehicle. Very happy to use them again for our next adventure.

We rented the Dual Cab 4x4 camper from Broome & Beyond for our trip from Perth to Darwin. All the employees we met were very nice and helpful and all of our questions were solved immediately, even when we were on the move. The car drives excellently and can be set up quickly. As compact as the structure is when driving, it is just as spacious when it is set up, so that you can cook and eat well both inside and outside. We can highly recommend the company.

The Kimberley by 4wd is getting so popular that I booked over 6 months ahead to get the vehicle and company I wanted. The reviews of Broome and Beyond are well earned. My partner and I had an extraordinary 3 weeks travelling in an extra cab Hilux with a Trayon camper. The vehicle was on its third hire and looked brand new. This was a bit daunting as I knew from my previous trip in the Gibb River Road just how hard on vehicles it can be, and I thought that dings and scratches would be inevitable. We first travelled to the Dampier Peninsula to get familiar with the rig and to make sure we had everything under control before we headed North from Broome.We had our first minor issue on a Sunday (of course) when we could not get the air hose to connect properly to the compressor. Brendan arranged for us to visit one of the super friendly staff at the Broome office to look at it. He was at home (it was Sunday) and he fixed the problem in 5 minutes then we were on our way. That's what I call service! The corrugations were so bad that it caused the front number plate to suffer metal fatigue and fall off somewhere along the road. We contacted Brendan who told us not to worry and that it was a fairly common issue. The last issue was completely my fault as I had got the time for the vehicle return wrong. Anyone who has ever hired a car and failed to return it by the agreed time will know what a big deal this is. Brendan and the wonderful team at the Broome office sorted us out and the holiday ended with smiles all around. Making a booking so far in advance and paying out many thousands of dollars for a holiday is always a bit of a gamble. In our case it was so worth it. The vehicle got us through some atrocious roads and mud puddles without a murmur. The Trayon camper is a good concept but felt a bit rough around the edges with some very quirky features like tent pegs as adjustable pins for the entry stairs. We are in our seventies and reasonably fit, but the set-up and take down was always a bit of a chore. Because of the way that many campsites are organised now, you set up camp in the afternoon then have to pack up everything in the morning to drive the few kilometres to see the gorge or whatever. That probably explains why camper trailers and huge caravans are now the vehicles of choice. I guess everything has its place, but personally, I was very glad to see double axle caravans banned from Pernululu. In summary, we had a great experience, and simply could not fault the service and care from the whole team at Broome and Beyond.

We were very happy with our experience with this firm. We originally booked a 4WD camper-van for a trip to the Kimberley in 2021- that had to be deferred to 2022. Just finished 27 days in the van along the GRR and then on the black top back to Broome. Everything was ship shape: picked up the vehicle, bought our food and then off on our adventure. Everything was there and worked well! We found everyone we dealt with from booking to picking the van up and return very professional, responsive and helpful. Don at Broome was a delight to deal with and went out of his way to assist. I would recommend this firm.
