The hilux and trayon was the perfect vehicle for the Gibb River and Purnululu. Very accommodating staff in Broome and Brendon was very supportive with a couple of minor issues we had. Highly recommended.

Best experience, couldnt have been better! 100% recommend using them, they are extremely good and their campers are maintained to the highest level and fully kitted. I had a brand new 2022 hilux which was perfect and could handle any part of WA. They are really personal and make sure you have everything you can possibly need for your trip. Staff are super responsive should you need anything! No issues at all, really impressed!

We would highly recommend Broome and Beyond for camper hire. We hired a Toyota Hilux Trayon for our road trip in Western Australia and we were super impressed by their expert knowledge, back up support and standard of equipment offered. We had a great holiday in Kakadu/Litchfield with our Camper. Perfectly set up vehicles with everything you need. Super easy to set up and really comfortable. Vehicles are easy to drive which was great for us, as we weren't overly experienced with a 4WD.

We hired a Toyota Hilux with a Trayon from Broome and beyond for 3 weeks in May. We had a great trip traveling from Broome to Darwin via the Gibb River Road. A real 4WD adventure! The combined car and camper was perfect - taking us everywhere we wanted to go. We felt well equipped and comfortable, and Brendan and Tracey were super helpful.

I travelled solo in a 4wd camper from Darwin, through Kakadu, Nitmiluk, Mataranka and south to Alice and Uluṟu & Kata Tjuka. A fabulous trip. The camper was perfectly equipped and it was manageable to put up and down by myself. Such an amazing part of our beautiful country. The team at Broome and Beyond have been fabulous. Working with me through border closures and rearranging of schedules. Brendan, Tracey and John were all very friendly and helpful.

This is by far the best hire company I’ve dealt with for real adventure. The Trayon system is really simple to use and allows for unlimited exploration of the top end and Kimberley. Tracey is an asset to the company who is helpful and knowledgeable. My family and I had a fantastic time and we will look to hire again for a similar adventure. The camper is suitable for two adults and my 6 year old daughter. We had the fortune of experiencing some very remote areas with this setup without a care in the world. Totally disconnected from the world.

We had a fantastic 3 weeks experience from Perth to Broome . The Cab / rooftent principle is great as it is bigger than just a rooftent on top of a 4WD. I strongly recommend Broome & Beyond for their clear services and pricing.

We rented a Hilux Trayon from Broome and Beyond for 4 weeks and travelled through Western Australia. The truck was excellent - we could go anyplace - the roof top tent was easy to setup and all little things you need out in the bush were available. A little issue withbthe stove was fixed by the firm in record time. Tracey and Brandon are great. They were so friendly and helpful that we rather felt like friends than customers. To cut it short. When you are looking for a 4WD truck to travel through WA Broome and Beyond are the perfect provider!

We hired a 4WD Toyota Hi Lux with trayon camper from Perth to Broome 4/10/23 via the coast up to Exmouth, then in to Karijini, back the coast from Port Hedland north. Brendan and Tracey were wonderful as already stated in these reviews. The Hi Lux could have taken us anywhere. It did 110 km/hour on the sealed roads with no problems, about 11-14 L/100 km and felt equally at home on sand and corrugations around Karijini. In the camper the fridge and stove worked beautifully and the battery, powered by solar panels and the alternator, would have sustained us for 2-3 days easily. The little gas stove was a special treat, using very little of the cylinder of gas provided. It warmed us nicely when we cooked dinner inside in the cold coastal winds, and the rechargeable fan was wonderful at Cheela Plains where the temperature at sundown was 42 degrees. Bed was very comfortable and the canvas cooled down quickly after sunset with fantastic windows and screens. The shower with plastic skirts for privacy was a wonderful luxury and used very little of our water supply at the few places we stayed without water. This was our first trip camping or staying at caravan parks and we booked everywhere in advance as two of the three weeks were WA school holidays. In retrospect we didn't need to as this camper would have sustained us in roadside free camping areas for days at a time. The standard of cleanliness in every place we stayed was great, and the reception we got everywhere was wonderful. Fellow travellers were mostly our age (70s) although we met some lovely younger families as well. Brendan answered immediately when I forgot his instructions on how to tie down the fold out section whose gas struts were pushing it back up on our first night setting up in the dark in Geraldton. I forgot a lot of his detailed advice about setting up and packing camp so reinvented the wheel as we went: we should have taken a video when he was showing us the set up in Perth. I found that when folding up the top, using some cord to tie it down about 30 cm from fully closed, stopped the gas struts from opening it again, which would have allowed folds of canvas to obstruct closure. Instead it allowed me to go around tucking in the canvas top before clipping the top down. There are 24 hour credit card bowsers about 10 km south of Exmouth on the way back to the northern highway, about 15 c/L cheaper. Diesel cost us $2.25 at a BP workshop in Port Hedland up to > $2.70 at Sandfire Roadhouse. We made the mistake of topping up there for > $100 then finding the caravan park at Port Smith had a diesel bowser then costing $2.61. We did not think to ask for: coffee plunger, beach towels, tarp or other mat to spread on the ground around the stairs under our fold out bed section to stop importing the red dust at many of the campgrounds and caravan parks. I am sure Brendan would have provided something like this if we had thought to ask. Our can of Rid came in handy for Mr McGowan's welcoming committee for NSW people, of bush flies that otherwise crawled into ears, eyes and mouth every time the tyres need deflating or inflating. A baseball bat would have helped for the March flies in Port Smith. On the other side of the coin, the beach at Gordons Bay just north of there, only be accessible by 4WD, was spectacular and deserted. Brendan's advice to let the tyres down to 15 psi on sand came in handy there, and on our trip from Quobba past Red Bluff, Gnaraloo, Warroora and a day or so later on the trip from Coral Bay up to Exmouth via Ningaloo and Yardie Creek. We crossed the sand in the Yardie creek bed and nearby beach with no problems and a 4WD immediately got bogged going the other way. It cost us a bit over $20 to get the red dust off the car at the car wash they recommended in Broome. Overall it was a magnificent holiday made possible by the camper and wonderful service provided by the people in the Perth and Broome offices of Broome & Beyond.

A great trip overall with the Hilux and Trayon the perfect combo for the Gibb and the Bungles. 4 rather than 5 stars as we had minor warning light issues on the Hilux (although it performed brilliantly despite the warnings) and some more major issues with closing the Trayon from Day 2 of 11 onwards. Despite that, Brendan picked up the phone when I called from the Gibb, immediately offered a practical and easy solution on how to close it externally and we motored on from there. Great communication, much more competitively priced compared to Apollo so would recommend this company if this is an area of Australia you are keen to see...and you should be!!!

We were able to experience many beautiful things during our 6 month trip. Among other things, the car and Tryon cab was in very good condition. We can warmly recommend WA Experts. The support before and during the trip was extraordinarly.

Went to look at the campers as doing the Gibb River road next year. Lovely helpful staff with great vehicles with everything you need for a trip on the Gibb. We have since booked and excited looking forward to next year. I will say it's very expensive but it's what you have to pay if you want to do it. We did get a discount think cos it's 21 days.

We had an amazing time with the hilux/trayon camper.Everything was provided as we would have had if it were our own.We did the full broome to Kununurra Gibb river Rd down to Wolfe creek and back to broome.We had no problems with the car or any equipment....not even a flat tyre!!!!... My husband & I, both seniors, hired a Hilux dual cab with rooftop tent & Trayon for 3 weeks to do the Gibb River Rd. We found the company to be honest & helpful & the almost new vehicle was capable & well set up for the trip. Our experience was amazing & am already planning the next adventure & would not hesitate to use Broome & Beyond or WA Experts, as they're also known. We had travel insurance so took basic cover with this company which saved us money but with lots of side trips to gorges on non gazetted roads realised we had no cover on these tracks which we would have had with companies own insurance, so something to consider when booking. Also everything on trayon is quite high to reach, lights, see in fridge,so helpful to have some small folding steps with you. Thank you Broome & Beyond for your timely responses to all my emails, for the amazing, well set up & comfortable hire vehicle & tent, your helpful pleasant staff & for your rapid return of my bond, it was back in my account the following day. Advise to renters, respect what you've hired belongs to someone else & return in good clean condition.

We hired a Toyota Hilux with a rooftop tent from Broome & Beyond for 2 months and drove from Perth to Darwin including the Gibb Road and The Bungle Bungles. If we could, we would give more stars. We have never been so satisfied with a rental company: - Super fast service and feedback on questions at any time - Very quick help and support when we had a flat tyre. The bill was paid directly by Broome & Beyond, thanks to the insurance we chose - Very new and reliable vehicle with only around 8'000 km when we took it over - Everything was super clean when we picked it up, the vehicle was like new and everything was explained in detail. For example, headlamps were also included, super cooking utensils, sharp knives, large water tank, etc. The bed was also comfortable. - Any questions were also clarified in advance. - The vehicle is perfectly equipped for difficult 4x4 routes in the outback. - Thanks to the large 100-litre diesel tank, we were able to drive long distances without any problems. We would rent a vehicle here again at any time. Thank you for this amazing adventure!!

After a great experience hiring a camper from Broome & Beyond to travel through the east Kimberley in May (ex-Darwin), we hired from them again for our recent west Kimberley adventure (ex-Broome). We were very happy with our experience with this firm. We originally booked a 4WD camper-van for a trip to the Kimberley in 2021- that had to be deferred to 2022. Just finished 27 days in the van along the GRR and then on the black top back to Broome. Everything was ship shape: picked up the vehicle, bought our food and then off on our adventure. Everything was there and worked well! We found everyone we dealt with from booking to picking the van up and return very professional, responsive and helpful. Don at Broome was a delight to deal with and went out of his way to assist. I would recommend this firm.

We rent a Toyota Hilux with twin RTT from Broome & Beyond in December 2023. We drove and camped from Darwin to Broome in blistering 39 degree September heat. What an exhilirating awe inspiring experience - the sheer beauty of Nitmiluk, the dazzling gold honeycomb of Purnululu, and the majesty of the gorges and swimming holes along the Gibb. Thanks to Broome and Beyond the 4 wd Hilux Trayon campers worked very well, the cars handled the rugged terrain easily and sleeping under the stars was a treat. Being able to sit inside the camper, have a cup of tea and read our books after a big day of walking or driving was a real bonus. B and B were very responsive and helpful on the odd occasion we needed them. Thoroughly recommended

Great service, top 4WD! Wij raden iedereen aan die in West- en Noord- Australië nood heeft aan een 4WD met rooftoptent, keuken, douche en zonnepaneel op bij Brendan & Tracey te huren. We hebben een maand rond getoerd zonder problemen, ook in de outback. Communicatie was heel goed. De tent is groot, je hebt genoeg plaats aan de keuken, je kan de gaskookplaat ook gemakkelijk buiten koppelen, de ijskast is heel ruim, de wc is gemakkelijk en kan je goed wegbergen. De tent is op 5 min opgesteld en op minder dan 10 terug ingeklapt. Er is voldoende plaats om je kleren en ander gerief op te bergen. Er is voldoende keukengerei en gereedschap, stoelen, tafel…. En als je iets extra nodig hebt… just ask Brendan. Wij komen terug en huren dan zeker weten hier weer onze jeep.

We chose Broome & Beyond for our month-long trip through Western Australia because we had only heard positive reports about it. And we were not disappointed. Booking online was straightforward and communication was excellent. On site, Brendan introduced us to the vehicle. Everything had been thought of for a trip into the outback, right down to the satellite emergency call. The electric air pump was very useful, helping us to adjust the tyre pressure for the different terrain conditions. The radio for communicating with the road trains and construction sites was also very practical. The vehicle itself was in excellent condition. During the trip, it was confirmed time and again that the Trayon was the perfect choice. It was possible to drive to any location and spend the night wherever we wanted. Within a few minutes, the camper was ready for us to spend the night. The little extras such as lamps, stools etc. were also included. When shopping, it was practical to have the fridge within easy reach so that you could store your purchases directly in the supermarket car park. Despite the mobile phone navigation, the maps provided were worth their weight in gold, especially for trips to remote areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will be using Broome & Beyond again on our next trip to Australia. We never had a breakdown or malfunction during the entire trip and the large fuel tank made us feel safe. By the way, the return of the vehicle was just as uncomplicated as the handover. We have nothing but praise for the service and camper vehicle we hired for 3 months recently. All care was taken to ensure it was well fitted out - even including a rechargeable fan and torch. Then en route when we had a few small queries, or issues, Brendan was immediately available and got things sorted. The Trayon was most comfortable and it didn’t take long for us (two 75 year olds) to put up and take down, most efficiently - we did need the 2-step stool supplied though!! Thanks to the guys at Broome and Beyond for their informative demo of how the toyota 4WD Trayon system works, and their assistance in making it more 'short female' friendly. I spent 38 days travelling on the Gibb solo at 63 from Darwin to Broome. The trayon and vehicle were awesome, no punctures, breakdowns or anything else. We arranged our camper through Tracy. Brendan gave us a run down on pick up in Perth. Both Tracy and Brendan were very helpful. The camper came with everything we needed for the trip. We drove from Perth to Broome and back with no problems at all. We loved the incredible access this 4x4 gave us. Having the option to cook inside and out was really helpful too when the wind picked up - I noticed other campers on the road were forced to do outside cooking.

Recently finished up our two week trip through the Kimberley’s on the Gibb and the great northern highway. Brandon and he’s team were so helpful from the start to finish. We hired a Hilux 4x4 with a tray on the Ute was given to us in great condition and super clear and we didn’t have a problem the whole trip it was easy to set up and pack down and was also very comfortable. The Ute comes with absolutely everything provided for camping making the trip super easy!! Couldn’t recommend Broome and beyond more, thank you guys !

We had a fabulous 10 days in a Toyota Hilux Trayon tripping around the NT national parks! The vehicle was in great condition and very capable. All camping equipment was supplied.
